Breathe in and enjoy
Winter walking
Hiking or walking is the best way to enjoy the glistening winter white in all its complete serenity. On the mountain, stop at a cosy cabin, or stroll along the path along the lake. From the shore, watch swans and ice skaters on the ice; or do what is impossible in the summertime: cross the lake to Thumersbach.
Pure idyll
Cross country skiing
Deeply snow-covered landscapes, glass-clear mountain air and dreamy panoramas: 107 km of the cross-country runs will take you to the most impressive locations of Zell am See - Kaprun and extend even into the bordering regions.
Fun for the whole family
Tobogganing
Discover the beautiful winter wonderland during a fun-filled tobogganing party. Just around the corner, in Bruck at the Glocknerstraße, is the Berggasthof Kohlschnait. The lights of the toboggan run can be seen from afar. After a leisurely ascent by tractor and a warming stop at the inn, you race into the valley with speed and fun.
On the indoor rink or on the lake
Ice skating
The surface of Lake Zell measures more than 4,5 km² between the Kitzsteinhorn and the Schmittenhöhe - all of it ideal for ice-skating. Should the ice be too thin, you can always practice your skills at the ice rink whenever you feel like it!
